Father Edwin D\u2019Souza passed away\npeacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of\nProvidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born on January 1, 1937 in India, he\nwas the beloved son of the late Emmanuel and Magdalene D\u2019Souza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Loving brother of Celestine (late\nVincent), late Thomas (Christine), Bernard (Regina), late Pascal, Monsignor\nMathew, the late Bishop Alphonse S.J., Pauline (Eddie), Arch Bishop Albert,\nMaurice (Marina), late Sister Lucy, Sister Eugene, Andrew (Jenny).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Loving uncle of 25 nieces and nephews,\n36 great nieces and nephews, and great-great uncle to a niece and a nephew<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Father D\u2019Souza was ordained on December\n22, 1966 in St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle, India by Bishop Joseph Albert\nRosario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arriving in Toronto in 1979, Father\nD\u2019Souza served in several parishes starting at St. Jude\u2019s Parish, North York;\nSt. John\u2019s Parish, Toronto; St. Ambrose Parish, Toronto; St. Mary\u2019s Parish,\nCollingwood; St. Mary\u2019s Parish, Brampton; Immaculate Heart of Mary,\nScarborough; Saints Martha & Mary Parish, Mississauga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family and friends may visit at Holy\nCross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (Bayview and Langstaff) on\nFriday, March 11, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Visitation will also be\nheld on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Blessed\nTrinity Parish, 3220 Bayview Avenue (Bayview and Finch).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mass of Christian Burial will be\ncelebrated at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interment will be at St. Augustine\u2019s Seminary, Queen of Clergy Cemetery 2661 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
